He talks about everything and anything, skipping seamlessly from one subject to another – from bison to Queen Margot, from Descartes to Haribo sweets, from Annie Hall to Halley’s Comet. And no matter what, after 53.33 minutes Pierre Mifsud stops talking just to pick up his monologue on the next day at the next venue. This entertaining walkabout covers not only vast swathes of encyclopaedic knowledge but also the city of Fribourg itself, with the artist playing to a different venue every evening. It is a virtuoso theatrical performance and a source of unadulterated pleasure for the audience, particularly the unabridged seven-hour-long version on the last day.
