STREETFOOD FESTIVAL & BELLUBARS

Tables and chairs in the streets, cold drinks, nomadic kitchens on wheels, a hodgepodge of languages and, every now and then, a weird sound... it is all this, and more, that makes the Arsenal the beating heart of the Belluard Festival.

Food trucks are on hand to ensure that no visitor, artist or member of the festival crew goes hungry. These tiny mobile kitchens serve up a smorgasbord of culinary delights and specialities, all of which come with a generous side serving of love, passion and skill. Juicy burgers, pizzas with the perfect crusty crust, soups that are a hug in a bowl, not forgetting fresh crunchy salads, are just some of the delicious food on the festival menu. Drinks are available at the Arsenal bar, day and night. There is also the indoor bar, which opens for business at the end of each performance.

But there is another kind of sustenance on offer at the Arsenal. At lunchtime, every Saturday, it hosts an Artist Talk. It is also where Mats Staub will be scouting for volunteers to contribute to his video installation My other life. Meanwhile, pupils from the reception class at Belluard lower secondary school will be hosting their open-house get-together here. The Arsenal will also be home to the Holidays installation, where the answers to life’s questions are expressed in numbers.
